Embedded World 2010 is over and our exhibition team has brought back many new contacts, inspirations and a few pictures of this year's Pengutronix booth.
As in the past years Pengutronix will present itself from March 2nd to March 4th 2010 at the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference at Nuremberg, Germany. Visit us at stand 308 in hall 11 and let us show you the most recent developments in the areas of Linux kernel development, high-performance GUIs and modern, ajax-based web interfaces.
SPS/IPC/Drives 2009 has closed its doors and the Pengutronix exhibition team has returned to Hildesheim tired but with many exciting news and developments. We would like to use this opportunity to thank you for the many, interested visits to our booth!
Many of our customers have used the opportunity to pay us a short visit and inform themselves on the newest developments in the area of embedded Linux over a cup of coffee and some penguin cookies. We were just as happy to meet numerous interested prospective clients and hope that we will soon be able to welcome them among our many satisfied customers.
Although Linux has already been established as a reliable solution in the industrial market, there are still many exciting challenges left. We are looking forward to tackling those new challenges together with our customers and thus be able to tap the full potential of Linux in the automation area.
A few pictures of our booth can be found on the respective events page. Pengutronix would like to thank all participants and visitors for a successful exhibition and is looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2010!

Pengutronix has started providing the Realtime Preemption Linux kernel packages for the Debian distribution on http://debian.pengutronix.de.
Debian is well established as a solid base for IT services for years. Nevertheless, users from the automation industry until now still had the problem that they had to patch their kernels manually if they had hard realtime requirements.
The Debian packets provided now consist of the kernels in exactly the state as they have been released by the maintainers. This makes it possible that users can direct their bug reports directly into the upstream Realtime Preemption project, in order to improve the common code base.
More information can be found on the project page:
Today is the 16th anniversary of the foundation of the Debian Project. Pengutronix congratulates its favourite distribution and is looking forward to its next release, Debian 6.0 "Squeeze".
